Sevilla director of football, Monchi has made the decision to leave for Aston Villa this summer

Monchi has expressed his discontent with Sevilla and leaves for a second time, after having previously left for Roma in April 2017.

Monchi brings with him over 20 years of experience at the highest level, and oversaw a profit of over 200 million euros in his first stint at Sevilla.

Monchi’s oversight has resulted in 13 trophies, and he was responsible for bringing in the likes of Adriano, Dani Alves, Julio Baptista, and Ivan Rakitic.

The youth system he set up produced incredible homegrown talents of the likes of Sergio Ramos, Jesus Navas and Jose Antonio Reyes.

This is a major deal for Aston Villa, and at a reported 2 million Euros it is one definitely worth the money.

Aston Villa look extremely exciting this summer, could there a challenge for Champions League be on the cards?
