Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not close to signing for Aston Villa
Gregg Evans has reported[1] that there is nothing in the reports that Aston Villa are set to sign the midfielder on a free.
This comes after a previous report from talkSPORT[2] saying the opposite.
It seems unlikely villa would be making this sort of move this early in the window, especially at the same time as with Tielemans.
Unai Emery continues to keep options open and will look at a large number of players this window.
