The Belgian midfielder will link up with Unai Emery in B6 after being released by Leicester City

The 26-year-old was once one of Europe’s hottest prospects, and after 4 and a half years with Leicester City he’ll be playing his football only 40 miles away in Birmingham.

This news comes from various reports saying Aston Villa are set to sign the 58 time Belgian international.

Tielemans career includes stints at Anderlecht and Monaco, before joining Leicester in 2019. He’s played over 500 games in his career, an incredible figure for a player who only recently turned 26.

In his trophy cabinet he has 2 Belgian league titles, an FA Cup and a whole host of awards individually.

Unai Emery continues to improve his Aston Villa squad, and with more signings like this we could see Aston Villa putting themselves in the conversation for potential Champions League qualification next season.
